This
is where you come in. Catatonic is at your service. We will be happy
to suggest destinations and itineraries based on our experiences
here in Florida, but they are only suggestions. This is your
vacation/cruise. Catatonic is yours. We want you to do what YOU want
to do. Take the suggestions below and build your own itinerary. Or
make this a Lazy Days vacation with no itinerary at all. |

Cruisin' n Fishin'

If you enjoy eating the freshest fish possible, this cruise is for
you. Go "active fishing" with a rod and reel, casting along the
mangroves for that elusive shook or snapper. Or "passive fishing"
where you relax and read a book while your fishing line trails
behind the boat. This is often called the "send out the invitation
and see who comes to dinner" style of fishing. Capm Woody's favorite
method.
NOTE: If you prefer the active fishing style you will need to bring
along your own expertise, as Capm Woody is only proficient in the
passive method.

For the Naturalist
kayaking/canoeing

This itinerary is designed for those of you who are not afraid to
get up close to the natural world. Select from several kayak and
canoe trails from Tampa Bay to the Keys. Use Catatonic as your
mother ship for your personal explorations via kayak or canoe.

|
|
The Hemingway
Relax in the tropical breezes with your favorite Hemingway novel.
Visit Hemingway's home and watering holes in the Keys.
Meet the descendents of his famous herd of cats, and do as "Papa"
did.
Go fishing, drinking, womanizing, urinating in public.....well,
maybe you shouldn't do everything he did.

The "Mini Loop"
Ideal cruise and training session for those of you planning on doing
"The Great Loop" , up the American heartland, through the great
lakes and back down the Atlantic seaboard to Florida. Gain
invaluable experience navigating the locks of the Okeechobee
waterway, the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the island hopping
along the Florida Keys and the isolation of the Everglades. You
pretty much experience it all on this cruise. It's a good way to get
your feet wet if you're planning on living the cruising life.
NOTE: To cram all this into one week requires a dedicated crew, so
feel free to do only the parts of this trip that interest YOU.

The Gasparilla
Get to know Florida's historic gulf coast aboard Catatonic, tracing
the footsteps of the infamous pirate Jose Gaspar. (minus the
pillaging and plundering)
This charter is for history buffs, or for those of you wanting to
consume considerable quantities of Caribbean rum. Bring your own
wench.
|
|
|
The Gasparilla
Deluxe
All of the above but timed to coincide with the Jose Gaspar pirate
invasion of Tampa in February. This annual event you join the flotilla into
Tampa, escorting the replica of Jose Gaspar's pirate ship. Then
disembark onto the streets of Tampa and watch the parade, collect
the beads and enjoy this, second only to Mardi Gras, street party
that makes such an event so difficult to remember the day after.

The Cruising Lifestyle
Think you'd like to permanently live aboard a boat or at least spend
long periods of time living aboard? This is a good way to experience
the joys and tribulations of such a life. Discuss what it's like
with EndeavourCat owners who are doing it right now. Stay aboard for
as long as you like. Long term rates are available. Just ask. |
|
| |
|
So go
wherever you like, whenever you like. You set the pace and
agenda. Explore Florida's historic coastline and the Keys,
including the beautiful inland passage through Lake Okeechobee.
Let Capm Woody be your guide. And don't forget to bring along
your favorite music and movies. |
